About Us
WELCOME TO SUCCESS IN COMMUNITY ACTION
INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
Success in Community Action (SCA) is an independent, non-governmental Organisation with a Zambian base that was established in accordance with the Non-Governmental Act No. 16 of 2009. The main motto of SCA is “Together We Can.”
An organization was founded in 2019 by a group of educated, vivacious, and like-minded individuals working in the agriculture, education, and other sectors to meet the most urgent and pressing needs of marginalized people in society. Success in Community Action (SCA), an organization founded in this philosophy, was registered on December 20th, 2019.
Considering the need for the formation of this organisation, it was cognizant of the extent of hurdles affecting the individual farmers and cooperatives in Zambia. SCA was designed to carry out a variety of interventions in the field of agribusiness and is not constrained by geographic, political, or tribal boundaries for the same reason.
The operations carried out by SCA span from service delivery to enhancing the skills of community development organizations, with a strong emphasis on the underprivileged and marginalized elements of the society. while SCA’s efforts to;
- Enlist involvement of agricultural cooperatives, women and youth groups in agri-business activities by encouraging them to take farming as a business.
- Fight against malnutrition by encouraging and teaching nutritious food production and preparation.
- Encourage and support value addition.
- Promote innovations which are aimed at reducing the effects of climate change and environmental protection.
- Promote gender equality through continuous gender awareness advocation.
SCA fulfills its tasks by partnership with both Zambian and international organizations, the Government of the Republic of Zambia through its Ministries and other stakeholders.
MISSION STATEMENT
SCA aims at improving the livelihoods of the marginalized rural communities in Zambia through Agribusiness skill impartation and empowerment in order to help build a society where people are self-fulfilled, healthy and productive.

SCA aims to let marginalised people thrive by building their knowledge and capabilities on nutrition, agri-business and environmental protection.

- To encourage production, preparation and consumption of nutritious foods as well as encouraging best health practices in various communities.
- To enhance sustainable investments through promotion of value addition and agri-business projects.
- To address the issues of climate change and environmental protection through promoting better agricultural practices and other innovations thereby conserving natural resources and biodiversity
- To make group-owned businesses more accountable and transparent.
